I’m going to take back my power
That I gave to you
Don’t really know how you got it
Maybe by using voodoo

I ‘m going to take back my strength
And all that it encumbers
I think you snatch away
While I asleep in deep slumber


I am going to take back my dignity
And all that I AM
I think you thought
I allowed you to use me because
I didn’t give a damn

I’m going to take back my self respect
One of the greatest treasures of all
For this is a part of me
That allows me to stand fierce and tall

I am going to take back me
The most valuable gift to give
And make a promise to myself
To never give so much up for as long as I live

I am going to take back my love
The thing most precious to me
I think you stole it
And tried to control it
And abused it so viciously
